With an exclusive tablet design and the Android 2.2 operating system, the ARCHOS 101 hosts a 10.1-inch multi-touch display with pinch-and-zoom capabilities, an ultra fast 1 GHz processor for speedy web browsing, HD multimedia playback, and multitasking across applications. With the Android 2.2 OS (Froyo), the ARCHOS 101 offers support for the Adobe Flash 10.1 player, allowing you to view streaming video sites.

Thanks to a patented construction process, the ARCHOS 101 uses an over-moulded PVD stainless steel structure, making it smaller, thinner and lighter, as well as more portable. It is slim and light with 0.5 inch, weighs less than 1 kg.

However, the problem can be resolved by downloading the gApps4Archos2.apk file, make sure it is the latest version because the original one does not work on Android 2.2. After installing it, you get the Google Marketplace, which is really what makes or breaks an android tablet

A few features that make the Archos 101 way better than the iPad are: Camera, USB Slot, Micro USB Slot, MicroSD Slot, HDMI output. It runs Android!

Overall this is a great device. You can access data or files over network wirelessly, from the internal storage, the MicroSD Storage, and even a USB stick, or USB Hard Drive all at the same time with this device. So technically its storage space is unlimited. This tablet rocks!

It is a good product with a reasonable price tag. Compare to other tablets in the market, it has the best price-feature match. It can be an excellent company at home and office (in the recent firmware upgrade proxy feature was added).

Whichever the tablet you choose, do not buy something with a small screen, which means less than 9.8 inches. As Steve Jobs mentioned in his speech, Apple usability tests proved that users have so much difficulty at small screens. Our usability tests showed the same thing. Even so many new tabs on the way comes with 7 inch screens including new models from LG, Motorola (XOOM is an exception), HTC etc. If you have any chance that would be great to see the product in the shop and take it in your hand. So that you see how you feel.
