Archos ARNOVA 7 G3 502082 7-Inch Tablet PC Features
The ARNOVA 7 G3 offers a portable widescreen tablet solution at a low price, but if you judge a tablet purely by its look, then you might not like this budget device. Archos has gone for the seven-inch option again with its ARNOVA 7 G3, and this means the inevitable compromise of a device that is relatively small to carry but which does not offer the full glory of media browsing in a large screen. Compared to another ARNOVA 7b G3, the 7 G3 does not come with rounded edges, however it is slightly smaller and lighter than the 7b G3. Its weight of 300g is very comfortable in one or both hands.
The build materials run to a shiny black plastic front surrounding the screen and a grey backplate. Fingerprints are a bit of an issue on both front and the back. ARNOVA has included a decent range of expansion options. There is a microSD card slot, which can be used to add the 4GB of built-in storage. There is a mini HDMI port and a micro USB port for USB flash drive.
The processor is 1GHz processor and it is supported by 1GB of RAM. The screen is a decent 800×480 pixel panel and it displays the supported 1080p video playback nicely. There is no need to zoom in and out as web pages will be displayed at their full width on the ARNOVA 7 G3. Play 3D games and other great games without an issue with its open GL 2.0 technology, and download a number of games available from the Appslib applications store, making your ARNOVA 7 G3 a great games console.
ARNOVA has bulked out Android 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ operating system with a range of applications, using the thousands of Android apps and games available to download from AppsLib market. Visually the latest version of Android remains familiar, but with enough enhancements and changes to bring something new and more evolved to the user experience. The new multitasking feature in Ice Cream Sandwich is designed to make switching between apps as easy as possible. Changing the wallpaper, setting up application folders or adding resizable home-screen widgets to best suit your needs.
Once the ARNOVA 7 G3 connected to your Wi-Fi network, you can then send and receive emails for free without using data connections and even update your status on Facebook. Additionally, one of the best uses is to try free video chats. There is a front camera for video calls, and video chat application is required. Alternatively, the ARNOVA 7 G3 is fully compatible with the ARCHOS G9 3G Stick9, just insert a data SIM card into the stick, plug it in and you can start surfing the web and enjoy faster speed of downloading and transferring files.
The ARNOVA 7 G3 can be your mobile work station without having to bring your laptop with you. There is a range of Office apps available to download on AppsLib, so you can create and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint compatible documents on the go. Additionally, your tablet provides micro USB port and microSD card slot, and both can read and write to external memory, and you can transfer files easily. So, you can watch movies, listen to music and keep important documents readily to hand. Plenty of popular video, audio or photo file formats are supported without having to use any conversion software. The sound quality is good with two speakers, or you can plug in any standard headphones in the headphone jack for a bit more privacy.
Overall, the ARNOVA 7 G3 is perfect for on-the-go Android tablet experience, the seven-inch screen makes it great for web browsing, watching videos, and reading eBooks. There is a lot to like about the ARNOVA 7 G3. It is cheap, and reasonable value on a seven-inch tablet. You get a good processor and some nice software extras, you will like HDMI and a front facing camera. It is worth considering, if you are looking for a portable tablet for work and play at a low price.

Any idea whether a method has been devised (or soon will be devised) to get the new Arnova G3 tablets to have access to the full Google Play android market?
Please check this clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKU57YS-gFo
Alternatively, you can install Amazon Appstore
It’s gonna be a pretty dumb question but hey, don’t judge me.
Does this Arnova 7 g3 tablet support a keyboard? I’m not a big fan of the touchscreen keyboard…If the answer is yes, what I am hoping for, which kind of keyboard would that be?
I’m not that kind of a technical whizzkid…
Thanks in advance !
