Pros:

The Nabi 2 is a huge improvement over the original Nabi. The Nabi 2 is so fast and responsive with no freezes, crashes, etc. It is truly one of the fastest Android devices you have ever used. The quad processor makes the user experience quite different from dual-core devices like Toshiba Thrive and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.

It comes with spectacular software, and is backed by such a customer-centric company. It seems to have more educational add-ons. You can download Netflix from Amazon App Store and watch movies and videos on the Nabi 2.

The Nabi comes with the Nabi App Zone and the Amazon Market can be easily added for more app options.

It comes with a microSD card slot so you can add memory cards up to 32GB. This way allows you to store movies on the Nabi 2. Many users convert DVDs and put them on the Nabi 2, so that their kids can watch movies when a Wi-Fi network is not available.

It is now able to do video chatting via Skype with 2MP front facing camera.

It comes with both a kids interface and regular ICS launcher, and you can set it so that it always boots into the regular ICS launcher and never see the kids mode (which is called “Nabi Mode”). This tablet can run in parent mode, where it is an Android 4.0 OS and then switched to ‘Kid Mode’ where all parental controls are in effect. Monarch OS is sweet and perfect for little fingers.

It allows kids to access the internet in a child-safe way, and lets parents access great games and learning apps through the Android kid store. The “Mommy mode” is great, parents can make purchases and select what the kids can view.

The red rubber bumper case is pretty thick and protects it pretty well from drops.

The customer service on their Facebook is amazing.

Cons:

The lack of Google Play which will be a temporary issue. However, you can use Amazon Apps and other third market apps in Daddy Mode which work as a fully functional tablet.

It does not have GPS.

Conclusion:

If you want a nice Tablet for your kids without having to worry about them seeing inappropriate content, get this Nabi 2. This is a powerful tablet that comes with the right kinds of warranty.

If you are just looking for a tablet for yourself, not for your kid, this Nabi 2 probably is not your product. The Google Nexus 7 is superior in that it already comes with Jelly Bean (the latest version of Android) at the same price. It also has a slightly higher resolution screen with Google Play and all the Google apps and services. It takes a little work to get these loaded onto your Nabi 2.

The great benefit you can get from the Nabi 2 is the company’s customer service, which is better and more personal than the huge monolith that Google is. Google is big company but when comes to customer service, it cannot give you personal attention, you will have to go online and find answers to questions among other users asking similar questions. That is the one downside to the Nexus 7, and it has no memory expansion too. If you are not very technically savvy, the technical support does matter for you. This is a great device for your kids and for you. You will not regret purchasing! It is highly recommended for schools and home schooled students.
